Many visitors to the park will arrive by parking in the main car park and walk through the picnic area and down the steps towards the lake.
Looking back towards the car park in 1994 the view would have looked like picture 1 with the old depot building on the left. Notice the telephone pole to the right of the path – it is still there in picture 2.
