Amazing 1954/55 Picture

Where do these old pictures keep coming from? The picture below was taken in 1954/55 and shows a view of the park only a few will remember.

The position is looking across the main lake towards the picnic area and car park. The tower to the left of the picture is actually the corner of the boat house and the main building to the right (on the hill) is the Council Depot which is exactly where the picnic area is now situated.

Fantastic picture. If anyone knows of any more – they would certainly be treasured by the Friends of Sandall Park.
