Golf Course Gets Dog Poo Bins

The golf course project goes on. Dog poo bins have now been installed – six have been placed next to the entrances (both official and unofficial).

Dog fouling has always been a problem in the park but now that this particular area has been ‘opened up’ for use for fitness and picnics it is even more important that the area remains ‘clean’.

There is now no excuse for the irresponsible dog owners not to pick up after their dogs. The other thing has been that some dog owners did pick up and then chucked the plastic bag into the hedge and even hung the bags from trees!

One small point – the Safer Neighbourhood team have been issuing tickets for dog fouling and we are encouraging them to do the same in this area of the park.
