No Fly Posting Please!

There seems to be an increasing trend to use fly posting in the park to advertise a loss of property or an animal. Apart from the fact that the ‘owner’ can receive a fine, the people that put the posters up NEVER come back and remove them when the crisis is over. Some of the posters are attached with substantial nails and damage the trees.

In short it makes the park look a mess. If FOSP members or members of the council see such posters they will remove them – it is up to the authorities as to whether they issue a fine.

Here’s the deal. We want people to find their pets and property. Rather than stick posters up just let us know and we will put it on our website (usually within an hour), we will put posters in the official noticeboards in the park, we will include your advert in any newsletters that we produce and we will notify council workers and members of  FOSP who are in the park on a regular basis.

We want to help – but we also need to look after the park. We think this is a fair deal and it may save someone getting a fine for fly posting!
