Playbuilders Project Going Ahead

Playbuilders is a government funded project to introduce ‘natural play’ for children. Sandall Park is one chosen area and the summer of 2009 saw wide ranging public consultation as to to the type of equipment and the location.

Sandall Park will see the project commence in mid January and see a ‘play mound’ created in the wooded area next to the main toilets car park. The mound will be topped with a ‘castle type’ structure and various other type of play equipment that will compliment the newly created grass mound.

The project will require the removal of several dead and diseased trees and the relocation of several smaller trees that we have planted in recent years. When the project starts we will be reporting its progress regularly.
