In Black and White

We haven’t seen white swans on the lake for years and today we were privileged to see a pair of white swans fly several laps of the lake area before attempting a landing.

Now we know why there are never any white swans on the lake! What a reception committee…….. the two adult black swans immediately set about the newcomers and tried to chase them off.

The white swans have persisted and the black swan cygnets seem to have accepted them already. Let’s just keep an eye on them and see what happens.

There were some seriously big cameras there at that time so hopefully we will be sent some spectacular shots.
