Life Saving Rope Now In Cafe

Due to the number of people who insist on going on to the ice it is inevitable that someone else will get in to difficulty and need rescuing.

Having already had two rescues in the lake one of which would have proved fatal if a rope had not been available, the Friends of Sandall Park have purchased a life saving rope. It will be in the cafe – ask the staff.

This rope is for emergencies only. The first action should be to call the emergency services - hopefully now we have purchased the rope it will never be needed!

2. Rope kept behind the counter – ask staff;
3. Call emergency services – dial 999;
4. Use it at your own risk;
5. Return it to the cafe after use;
