It had to happen……..

We’ve done pretty well for damage and crime in the park over the last eight months. In fact there has been nothing of any significance to report.

I suppose it’s because of this that when something happens it stands out even more. Over the weekend just gone (30/31 January) a group of individuals have set up camp next to and in the ‘bus shelter’. Clearly a lot of drinking has been going on but they have also lit fires that have damaged the wooden bench and brought substantial amounts of wood from elsewhere to keep the home fires burning. It seems inevitable that the debris then ends up being thrown in the lake along with all the cans and bottles.

Fortunately not too much damage can be caused to the brick structure but does show that we (and everyone) else needs to be vigilant if we are to keep the park crime free. Any information on anti-social behaviour in the park can be reported to the police, council or ourselves.
