Dog Owner Warned by Police
An irresponsible dog owner recently allowed their dog – indeed encouraged their dog to chase the ducks and geese round the lake. Apparently it was funny to them.
Fortunately a member of the public saw what had happened and managed to get the registration number of the offenders. The police have visited them and warned them about their future conduct. If it happens again they will be prosecuted. It is a criminal offence to allow a dog to ‘worry’ wildlife in the park.

Yay! We need a bit of tough stuff like this in the park. How fab the police actually took seriously a threat to wildlife. We couldn’t get them to come out to Sandall Beat Wood when youths shot and killed a kestrel – also exceedingly illegal
