Rounders Haka?

Well the scene may have looked like a rounders version of the famous New Zealand Haka but sadly it was not to be on this occasion.

Before last Thursdays great evening of rounders in the park sadly FoSP members had to clear the rounders pitch of dog dirt. Yep – you heard correct!

How on earth can someone let their dog do its stuff actually on the playing area of the rounders pitch and then not pick it up? We were embarrassed and if at that moment we could have identified the dog owners……………. you get the picture. There was a even a dog disposal bin less than 10 yards away.

Every reasonable visitor to the park deserves better – especially families of children in the park. Even near the car park dog owners let their animals out of the cars and allow them to ‘poo’ (family site here) in the new play area and do not pick up.

FoSP offer Free dog poo collection kits to anyone that wants them – just contact us. We have already handed out hundreds to park visitors with dogs.

So come on you irresponsible dog owners give us and other Park users a break – either  keep out of the park or clear up after your dog!
