Vehicle Chaos Brings Parking Review

Many will have noticed the chaos in the main car park recently caused really by the popularity of the new play area and the park in general – which is good!

Unfortunately some vehicle owners have taken to parking alongside the new play area under the trees which causes several problems:

1. It blocks the pathway that takes dog walkers away from the play area;
2. It blocks the same path and makes it inaccessible to disabled buggy users (and we have a few);
3. It makes it dangerous for parents and children leaving the play area;
4. It prevents the normal flow of traffic around the car park

We have met with the highways department and have agreed to new road markings in the car park area that will make it clear where not to park and this will result in another two car parking spaces being made available. Hopefully the work will be carried out over the next week.
