Music in the Park 2015

Our annual event will be a little different this year on 2.30pm Sunday 21st June 2015. The event is FREE!

Web site sidebar 2There will not be a big sound system for 2015 so we have moved the location to down by the lake – it should be great atmosphere. Bring your own chairs, food and drink and have a great time listening to the Doncaster Concert Band and the Doncaster Music Service Senior Brass Group.

PARKING: This will be at a premium  as there will be even more events taking place in the park on this day. We recommend using the industrial estate slightly up towards the racecourse – on the left. Then make the short walk across to the park.

Kids Kick Goslings…….

FoSP volunteers this evening witnessed three children aged 9 – 11 years trying to kick and ‘play football’ with goslings in the park. They were challenged and justified their action by saying that one of the geese tried to attack them!

CIMG6266They ran off but returned to carry on. Detailed descriptions of the kids have been sent to the authorities. We (FoSP) will always take appropriate action – sadly we have been here before and we will not allow a return to the bad old days.

Anyone seeing wildlife being mistreated can report it to the police on 101 or to the Neighbourhood Response Team on (daytime) 01302 385153 (after 7pm) 01302 341628.
