What a day that was – in the park at 9am for many volunteers ‘working’ throughout the day getting the park ready for the weekend events…….. and then meeting the Yorkshire in Bloom judge this evening for a tour of the park – home at 8.30pm!
Today eventually saw more than 40 volunteer hours put into the park by FoSP volunteers – but well worth it.
Note to self: Don’t retire – you never get a day off!
This weekend is a big one in the park……… there is a big football tournament as well as the Proms in the Park concert.
Proms parking: This will be at a premiumas there will be even more events taking place in the park on this day. We recommend using the industrial estate slightly up towards the racecourse – on the left. Then make the short walk across to the park.
THE GREAT WAR ON TOUR August 11th 2015 The Great War on Tour will be visiting the park on 11th August. There’ll be interactive things to do, crafts, memorabilia, documents, lots of things. Pop along and take a look. CLICK HERE to visit their Facebook page.
