Sandall Park Book

Sandall Park – The Book.  A comprehensive account about the trials and tribulations of an urban park.

Book CoverWritten by local historian Symeon Mark Waller the book contains fascinating details of the ‘Sandall’ area long before it became a park and includes brilliant first hand accounts of the park from the beginning right up to the problems from the early 90’s and the birth of the Friends of Sandall Park.

The book can be purchased direct from ourselves, from the Doncaster Tourist Information Office (£6.50) and is even available via Amazon for your Kindle.

Thankyou – Great Job

A massive thankyou to our intrepid litter pickers for a job well done.

Golf course litter pickThe final bit of the fencing project will be to rake over and seed grass on the area…………. all ready for the Proms in the Park on June 21st.

Litter Pick This Morning

Litter pick this morning (Monday 5th January) to clear the rubbish thrown up by the installation of the new fence on Barnby Dun Road.

Keep britain tidyMeet 11.00 – 11.15 in the lay by next to the old golf course. We’ll provide the equipment – if FoSP members could bring the equipment they have their possession that would be helpful.
