Thankyou St Leger Rotary Club

A huge thankyou to the St Leger Rotary Club for their massive donation towards the fencing project on Barnby Dun Road.

Before & After HedgeThis project will have a huge impact on future developments on the old golf course. The donation has also had a big impact on the finances of FoSP because this was being fully funded by ourselves and meant that the coffers would have been well and truly empty!

So once again thankyou St Leger Rotary Club.

Paths at New Entrances

New paths have been installed at the new entrances to the park on Barnby Dun Road.

Our thanks to the council grounds tea for sorting this for us.

The plan is for thousands of daffodils to be planted along the fence-line along with some substantial trees. It should look great when it all comes together but sadly it’s all come a bit late in the day for a spring display this year.

Fountain up and Running Again

The lake fountain has been causing a few problems lately – usuallywhen plastic bags get caught in the filter.

Fixing the fountain is not an easy task because it has to be pulled out and cleaned – certainly not a January job! we are therefore greatful to anglers, Scott, Lee and Dwain for there efforts this morning in not only cleaning the fountain but re-siting it where it is more beneficial to both anglers and the wildlife.

Thanks guys – great job in testing weather conditions.

Litter Pick This Morning

Litter pick this morning (Monday 5th January) to clear the rubbish thrown up by the installation of the new fence on Barnby Dun Road.

Keep britain tidyMeet 11.00 – 11.15 in the lay by next to the old golf course. We’ll provide the equipment – if FoSP members could bring the equipment they have their possession that would be helpful.

See you there……..
