There will be a new format for this years Ester Egg Hunt on Thursday 2nd April.
Entering is free and you will be given a map of the park with six areas marked on it. In that area will be hidden coloured eggs – find the egg and write the colour down on the map.
When you have all six colours just hand your map back in at the Ready Steady Store Gazebo. You will get a free chocolate egg and your sheet will be entered for the free draw that will take place at 1pm.
As well as the egg hunt there will be the annual Hook a Duck Championships with a trophy for both the senior and junior winners. Entry for this is £1.
All funds raised will go towards developing the park.
Coming to Sandall Park on 15th August ‘The Great War On Tour’.
A heritage lottery funded project telling the stories of the Borough’s contribution to the First World War, both at home, on the front line and by soldiers from the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.
With a travelling display that will promote the project’s research and offer a snapshot of the project’s exhibitions. It will also contain interactive elements such as replica World War One objects, replica uniforms, a photo booth and children’s craft activities.
Should be good – put it in your diary.
Our thanks to Ready Steady Store – regular sponsors of the Easter Egg Hunt…
If you didn’t know, this what 700 Cadbury’s Creme Eggs looks like. Sooo, make a date in your calendar for Thursday 2nd April – 11 am start.

Another busy Sandall Park day in the morning – parkrun, cycling, fitness training and football….. for the middle of February that’s not bad at all.
If all else fails just visit the park to have a walk, feed the ducks, have a picnic or just do your own thing. The weather forecast is not too bad AND it’s Valentines day!
There may be 87 days to go to the Sandall Park Fake Festival but you can get your cheaper early bid tickets NOW!
