An important and long awaited report into public parks was published today. It highlights the lack of funding going in to our parks.
The report itself quite lengthy but the content and recommendations are so important to parks and green spaces.

Don’t let the New Years resolution slip – it’s parkrun in the morning – 9am.
You know it makes sense……
Some of our volunteers tonight received CPR training – out thanks to the British Heart Foundation for providing the incredible training package.
The whole training package is available through us, free of course, to any group who would like to use it.
The Friends of Sandall Park are proud to sponsor a team strip for the Sandall Park Rangers Junior Football Club.
If there are any businesses out there who would like to do likewise I am sure that any support would be appreciated. The club is going from strength to strength and is a great asset to the park community. Well done guys.
The use of the Public Access Defibrillator in the park (funded by parkrunners) has been called upon when a customer in Lidl had a heart attack. The 999 caller was directed to the defib and it was taken for use to Lidl. CPR was administered and fortunately the defib wasn’t needed. The defib is now back in its house.
Although the defib was not used – this is a great result. Thankyou parkrun people…. you have made our little part of Doncaster sooooo much safer.
A good turnout for this mornings festive parkrun. Well done to all – especially the volunteers. A very merry Christmas to you all and may 2017 bring you a PB…………
