The planning next weeks Proms in the Park is coming along nicely and even the weather at this early stage looks good.
We could do with a large new cuddly toy for our raffle though – we have other things but a cuddly toy always goes down well.
All proceeds on the day will go to the Doncaster Concert Band and the Doncaster Senior Brass Group.
The event starts at 2.30pm Sunday 21st June down by the lakeside.
We are delighted to be able to announce that the BIG Lunch on Sunday raised a total in excess of £2,000 for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice.
A brilliant event organised by Halifax staff and led by Danielle. Congratulations to everyone and for choosing our park yet again.
This is an event the Friends of Sandall Park are proud to assist and be associated with.
Well done indeed.
That was a great day – Again! The BIG Lunch is proving to be a popular annual event in the park.
Thousands (yes really – at least two!) turned out for this years event organised by the Halifax. Well done to Danielle from the Halifax for yet another great event in the park.
Don’t for get the BIG Lunch this Sunday (7th) – organised by the Halifax and in aid of Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice.

We have had over the years many requests for memorial benches in the park. For some though the cost has been prohibitive and arranging installation by the council has been problematic.
We have recently installed two wooden memorial benches ourselves and the result has been several requests for more benches. This has been nice because it shows the new benches look good and are located in nice areas of the park.
We are therefore delighted to be able to offer the purchase and installation of memorial benches of the same type – including an engraved plaque. The cost will be £450 for a 5 foot bench and £400 for a 4 foot bench.
You can choose the location in the park but of course we would offer advice as to the most suitable place.
Please contact us via our contacts page for further information and a site visit in the park to discuss the options available.
