Memorial Benches in the Park

We have had over the years many requests for memorial benches in the park. For some though the cost has been prohibitive and arranging installation by the council has been problematic.

CIMG6302 We have recently installed two wooden memorial benches ourselves and the result has been several requests for more benches. This has been nice because it shows the new benches look good and are located in nice areas of the park.

We are therefore delighted to be able to offer the purchase and installation of memorial benches of the same type – including an engraved plaque. The cost will be £450 for a 5 foot bench and £400 for a 4 foot bench.

You can choose the location in the park but of course we would offerCIMG6303 advice as to the most suitable place.

Please contact us via our contacts page for further information and a site visit in the park to discuss the options available.

Egg Hunt Pictures

Well that seemed to go well! And for once the weather gods were on our side.

After days of gales the event day itself was superb with bright and warm weather – then back came the rain today…….

Another superbly supported day in the park with a free Easter Egg Hunt (our grateful thanks to Ready Steady Store for sponsoring this) and the Hook a Duck Championships (£1) with all funds raised on the day going back into the park.

A huge thankyou to all our volunteers who made it happen and to everyone that supported us.

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou….

Just when volunteers feel a bit ‘down’ after a setback in the park – the good people in the park come up trumps!

Wheatley HotelNo sooner did we report the damage to the noticeboard than the Wheatley Hotel and several other individuals donated money to have the repairs carried out.

So a huge thankyou to everyone who has made a donation to repair the noticeboard.

Sort of makes it all worthwhile again……….
