New Date for Music In the Park

2.30 pm Sunday 12th September 2010

The cancellation of the Proms in the Park Concert on Sunday 13th June was a huge blow to both ourselves and those who intended to attended the concert. The decision to cancel was clearly correct given that it rained heavily throughout the time the concert should have taken place.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we can announce that the Doncaster Concert Band will play again in the park on Sunday 12th September. Unfortunatley we can’t put on the full flag waving jamboree that we had planned for the earlier concert but it will still be a great occasion – and again it is free to all.

All proceeds from the day will go to the Doncaster Concert Band. There will be NO on site parking for this event.

Aurora 5Km Care to Run 2010

10.30am Sunday 5th September 2010 – Sandall park

This is the third year of this event in the park and includes a 5Km run/walk/jog round the park. Entirely off the roads.  More details nearer the time. All money raised is for the Aurora Centre.

FoSP Race Night 2010

7.30pm Friday 1st October 2010

One of the few events where FoSP raises funds for itself and the park (usually we do it for others). Again at Club 39 a great night for a get together and natter and support the park at the same time. Price is yet to be fixed.

1 Mile Santa Dash 2010

11am Sunday 12th December 2010 – Sandall Park

One of last years most popular events and sure to be a hit in 2010. In 2009 almost 400 Santa’s and little ‘reindeers’ completed the 1 mile circuit (twice round the lake). Entry includes a free Santa outfit!
