The fountain in the lake has had a dodgy start – working then not working.
It has again been fixed today and appears to be working OK. The wet weather has helped by raising the water level a bit.
So – fingers crossed on this one.

How many times do we have to tell dog owners that childrens play areas and dogs don’t mix.
Even when normally ‘responsible’ dog owners pick up after their dog there is invariably ‘residue’ left behind. Yet again today (and almost every day) there was dog poo left on the slopes of the childrens play area near the main car park. Bad enough now but even worse in the summer when this area is the busiest in the park.
The message is “KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEAD TO MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT GO ONTO THE PLAY AREA”.

Our thanks to the Red Tomato Pizza & Pasta takeaway for their kind donation of three ‘family feast’ meals for our Quiz Night raffle on Friday.
On top of the three pairs of Sandall Park Fake Festival tickets it promises to be a great and hopefully profitable night for the Friends of Sandall Park.
Sorry but the Quiz Night is now totally sold out.

Not ones to miss a chance to spruce up the park – especially with weather as nice as it was last weekend – FoSP volunteers spent a few hours getting the rockery ready for the spring.
Our thanks, yet again, to Marshall, Wendy and Alex for their work on the rockery.

The park cafe was burgled overnight and a quantity of foodstuff stolen any information please to the police, us (and we’ll pass it on) or to Crimestopppers and you may get a reward.
Actually a crime of this type is a very rare event in the park so it would be nice to nip it in the bud.
