Looks like it’s going to be a good show of daffs this year – they don’t grow naturally in the park…… we planted them for everyone to enjoy.
We would like everyone to show some restraint and don’t let youngsters pick them please.
Also have you noticed the plants growing alongside Thorne Road in the wooded area near the playground? These were all planted by youngsters last year on the ‘Planting with Plevey’s’ day. If your youngster took part in the day (there were a lot) take them to have a look at the results their labours………
Bouncy castles will be in the park starting Saturday 28th March.
They will be there daily (depending on the weather) for the full school holiday period.
It is planned that the bouncy castles will be in the park throughout the summer – again depending on the weather. For up-to-date information you can follow us on Facebook.
A brilliant turnout for the Community Clear up day in the park with an appearance from Rosie Winterton MP.
Great team work between FoSP and the newly formed Sandall Park Angling Club – producing sacks full of litter and rubbish.
At tonights FoSP meeting the winners of the 100 Club draw for March were as follows:
K. Gethin (£30) C.Darrand (£15); D. Crabtree (£5)
Well done to all the winners and thanks for your Support.
The park toilets will be open from Saturday 28th March – to coincide with the start of the schools holidays……. common sense has broken out!
Again the toilets will be supplied and cleaned weekly by our volunteers – please treat the facility with respect if they are to remain open. Thankyou.
We knew litter was bad – luckily not too bad in the park. But these figures are amazing……. another good reason for making sure our own little bit of Doncaster is clean and tidy.
