Dogs On a Lead Please

Yes it’s THAT time of the year. It’s the ‘dog on a lead near the lake time’. The parks big enough for dogs to run free safely – but not near the lake please.

CIMG6266This also includes “He’s never chased ducks before” type dogs – that is how we’ve ended up with only one black swan.

Everyone’s help would be appreciated. Thankyou.

Not Smart and Not Good……

Bad news – Good news: It is pretty stupid to smear human excrement on the walls of the gents toilets… just who does this person think is going to clean it off?

We could have locked up and gone home BUT as we finished the disgusting cleaning job we saw about 15 young pram pushing mums using the baby change facilities and toilets as they should be used – great stuff! Phew! A reminder why our volunteers do what they do……

Great support for this item on our Facebook page – thankyou.

More Friends Visit…….

Today Friends of Adwick Park made a visit to Sandall Park.

CIMG6258Needless to say we are always proud to show off ‘our’ park and today was a great day to do just that! By pure chance we had our own volunteers in the park fixing the broken plexy in the noticeboards, planting plants, cleaning the loos and the angling club were out on the waves clearing up the lake……. what would the world look like without volunteers?

Sort of makes you proud to be part of the Friends of Sandall Park……
