As uninteresting as it may sound (to none fishermen) it was really quite a sight seeing the lake netted and some of its contents brought to the side to be weighed and examined. Today saw a fully survey of the lake it’s fish carried out organised by Sandall Park Angling Club and DEFRA.
The exercise will ensure the safety of the fish stock and the health of the lake itself. Some fish were removed and others introduced to the lake to ensure a right balance of fish and size.
Well done to the angling club who also financed to event.
