Crowd Funding Launched

We are purchasing a swing that is suitable for the less able and the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ fund is funding most of it with an award of £4,800. We have found a rather nice swing that a little more expensive but worth the extra money.

To bridge the funding gap of £800 we have started a crowd funding page for supporters to make donations. You can view it by CLICKING HERE.

Our thanks in advance for your support,

DWP Volunteers Help out for the Day

Tuesday 9th May saw a team of four members of staff from the Department of work and pensions descend on the park…..

36 volunteer hours saw 22 benches and several fences painted with just a bit of touching up left to do. Park looking great especially with the new car park markings.

Car Park Markings Sorted

Our thanks to the council for sorting the markings in the main car park.

For the last five years volunteers have been marking it out manually using spray paint. But due to the popularity of the park it had to be done three times a year. This long term solution is welcomed – thankyou.

Not Good but it Happens…..

Someone overnight upended our Tour de Yorkshire cycle and all the flower baskets on it.

Worse things have happened in urban parks but it’s annoying all the same. Delighted to see our volunteers hard at ‘work’ unfazed by the problem.
