Parks and green spaces have been the saving grace for a lot of people during the current crisis. Sandall Park has always provided the open space needed sometimes to literally ‘have some space’ and enjoy the fresh air.
Over the years we’ve encouraged fitness in the park with all our trails and fitness equipment, lately though we’ve directed our attention on trying to promote mental health – also aided by physical exercise. The creation of the Quiet Garden we hope has gone some way towards this, focusing on Mental Health Awareness.
We have taken this one stage further in the development of Mindfulness in the park. There is now a dedicated page for this under Facilities on this website. Look under facilities at the top of this page. We will follow this up in due course with a leaflet for those who don’t use the internet.
