New Memorial Bench

Jackie’s bench is already a favourite with park visitors and her many friends.

We did say at the start that flowers, decorations, trinkets etc are not allowed on the bench. It’s a public park and the bench is not a shrine.
As the ‘purchaser’ of the bench on behalf of all the people who donated, it falls to me to ensure the council guidelines are adhered to, it’s my responsibility. It’s for everyone’s sake and the keeping the park safe and tidy.
We suspected it wouldn’t take long, but there’s already been a trinket attached to the bench. If the person who placed it there would like to take it back that would be great. If not, it will be removed tomorrow. If anyone would like to read the guidelines they are accessible on the council’s website: https://dmbcwebstolive01.blob.core.windows.net/…/Doncas…
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
Sandra
