The Santa Dash (this Saturday 7th December) is now fully booked, and also fully funded!! This means every penny of every entry will go towards your chosen charity.
For full details of the event CLICK HERE.
Volunteers are still needed to help on the day, so if you can, please turn up at 10am to be allocated a job. Every volunteer will be given a Santa Suit – unless you want to come in your own outfit? Get into the spirit of things, this is where Christmas starts. Ho Ho Ho
We have exciting news about this year’s Doncaster Santa Dash.
It did look as though we were going to have to cancel this year’s event and remove it from our calendar altogether.
The key FoSP organiser suffered a stroke last year and organising events is no longer an option for him.
However! Curly’s Athletes have stepped up to the plate and are going to take over the running of the event.
They are keen to keep it – as far as they can – much the same as the event we have run for the last ten years. The beneficiary charities will remain the same as last year.
Jono and his team will do all they can to ensure everyone has as fabulous a time as they always have at this ‘start to Christmas’ fun day. The only difference will be that this year it will be on Saturday 7th December – and not Sunday 8th. This is because they already organise a run at the Northern Racing College on the Sunday and it wasn’t suitable terrain for the Santa Dash to transfer to there.
We hope that you will give Curly’s Athletes the same support you have given us over the years – and have a great time!
Further information will become available as the new team get things organised.
Sandall park Supportive:
The UCI* World Championships are coming to Doncaster and two races will be coming directly past Sandall Park. We want to celebrate all that is good about Doncaster, Yorkshire and Cycling and put on an event in the park to promote all three. Well four actually – we want to promote the park!
So on Friday 27th September between 8am and 3pm, we will be holding a Gala Day. Many plans to be made but we hope to encourage lots of people to come and watch the race from the park. We’d like to promote cycling too in any way we can.
Coming to the event so far are:
